Keynote Speaker

Richard Voorberg

President, North America

We are honored to have Richard Voorberg, President of the North America Hub of Siemens Energy,  as the keynote speaker at our Annual Member Summit.

Richard has regional responsibility for the Energy business in the Americas, which includes the company’s Generation, Industrial Applications, Renewables/Wind and Transmission divisions. Previously, Richard served as the Head of Service in North America, where he was responsible for managing all aspects of Large Power Service, including Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, Generators and Nuclear. Additionally, he is involved in the American Petroleum Institute (API), National Petroleum Council (NPC), National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) and Advanced Airfoil Components (AAC).

Richard has over 30 years of experience with Siemens Energy including extensive involvement in the manufacturing, commissioning management, project management and marketing aspects of the power generation business. Richard was responsible for the design, project management and building of a brand-new factory at the Charlotte, North Carolina, site for gas turbine manufacturing.

Throughout his career Richard has had the privilege to live and work in several different locations including Canada, Indonesia, Argentina, Korea and Germany.

The North American business consists of over 13,000 people who manage all aspects of Service from Sales, Marketing, Project Management, Field Engineering, Shop Repair and Business Administration.

Richard holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Sustainability Impact Recognition

The 2025 Sustainability Impact Recognition Categories acknowledge AMGTA members across four distinct areas: Environmental Management Systems, Environmental Sustainability Research, Sustainability Reporting, and Excellence in Sustainability.

To qualify for recognition, all members must submit their supporting documentation according to the standards for each category by Friday, March 7, 2025.

Environmental Management Systems (EMS)

Recognizes AMGTA members who have achieved ISO 14001 EMS or ISO 15001 Energy Management Systems certification, and the certificate is in good standing. Submit your supporting information, documentation, and links by Friday, March 7, 2025. 

Environmental Sustainability Research

Recognizes AMGTA members who have commissioned independent third-party research projects focused on environmental sustainability in AM/3DP and have published the key findings or the full report in 2024 or 2025 (since our Fall 2024 Summit). Submit your supporting information, documentation, and links by Friday, March 7, 2025. 

Sustainability Reporting

Recognizes AMGTA members that published their 2024 or 2025 Sustainability or ESG report online for full disclosure and transparency (since our Fall 2024 Summit). Submit your supporting information, documentation, and links by Friday, March 7, 2025. 

Excellence in AM Sustainability

Recognizes AMGTA members for initiatives to expand the understanding and reach of the AM sector and the promotion of more sustainable manufacturing globally. Entries will be judged based on their impact across the sector - the rising tide that lifts all boats. Submit your supporting information, documentation, and links by Friday, March 7, 2025.
